Oasis have a very special part in the Rifles journey. Both, me and Joel were attending a music course in Redbridge back in the summer of 1996 and struck up a conversation after we had both just come back from seeing Oasis at Knebworth the weekend before. From that conversation we started making music together. Since then, we have made 6 studio albums, an acoustic album at Abbey Road and 1 live album to date and it’s fair to say that Liam and Oasis were the direct inspiration for us starting out!
I’ll never forget how Oasis changed the culture in England back in the mid 90s. It was just amazing to be alive through that period, we were young, the sun was shining and the music became a way of life for me at least and yes, we thought we were gonna Live Forever! x
